About Me

One definition of “itinerant” is “one who works and wanders”. This kind of fits my life – both vocationally and otherwise.

I am an Episcopal Priest serving as Rector of St. Simon’s on the Sound in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida! I started there on July 25, 2016.

I have two grown, amazing daughters, both married to fabulous guys, and a brilliant and hilarious son, and married to my best friend for 40 years. And now we have welcomed our first five grandchildren!
Blessed I am!

I grew up mostly in South Mississippi, I am a recovering Baptist who spent 20+years working in Data Processing in the banking world, following a double major from the University of Southern Mississippi in Computer Science AND Coaching! Yep, you heard that right. I love sports (real ones, not soccer) and Southern Miss athletics in particular, the Chicago Cubs, the Saints and the Steelers.

At the age of 40 I decided to stop trying to hide from God’s call and enter seminary to prepare to become an Episcopal Priest.

These are my thoughts, some on church, some on people, some on family, some on life in general. Thanks for stopping by. As we wander and work may we always take our time and give thanks.

Here is the pic I sent to St. Paul’s Delray Beach when they were considering me as Interim. And they called me anyway!!

  1. What a wonderful synopsis. I joined the Church fairly recently and was Baptized on November 4, 2018 by you. Words seem to fail me when I try to explain what a difference the church has made in my life. I want very much to become more involved and you Father, have been an inspiration. Thank you and may God bless is all!
